Title: Ardhanareshwar at Shaileshwari Temple
Caption: Ardhanareshwar, (part Nari, part Ishwar) composite male-female figure of the Hindu god Shiva together with his consort Parvati, stands in front of Shaileshwar Temple at
Silgadhi, Doti District, Western Nepal.
One of the untouched religious destinations by modern day tourists yet is greatly important shrine to the people of Far West Nepal. Silagadhi people first worship Shaileshwari before beginning any new tasks. The temple complex also has idols of Shiva Linga, Chaturbhuj Narayan, Ganesh, Bhairabh and Masta Maharaj.
While the temple atmosphere is serene the view looking at hills with Ranagaun, Dhamigaun and Kalyana is spectacular too.
Saileshwari hosts big mela (fair) called Lakkhihum once in every 12 years.
