Ishwar Pokhrel is Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence under Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli Council of Ministers appointed on 16-February 2018.
He has been the Party General Secretary of CPN-UML since 2009. He is also the Founding member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Nepal (ML) and also of the Central Committee, CPN (UML).
