Meena Lama is a Museologist and Independent art curator with an academic background in Museology, Buddhist Collection and Environment Management. Her career has been closely associated with traditional art, particularly Thangka. Although not an artist, she has focused on traditional art through curation, research, and writing since organizing the first exhibition in 2012. She aspires to expand the visibility of Thangka art, foster connections between artists and art enthusiasts, and develop an inclusive platform where the stories and traditions of this centuries-old practice can be shared and appreciated. This aspiration led her to thangkaa.com, where she is working on a comprehensive digital inventory of Thangka art and artists, to make this rich cultural heritage accessible to a global audience.
