Chapter 1: Excitement and Preparation
It was a sunny morning in Kathmandu when I woke up with an overwhelming sense of excitement. Today was the day I had been eagerly waiting for one night two days trip to the Famous Nuwakot Farm House with my best friend, Shreya. We had been planning this getaway for weeks, and finally, the day had arrived. I quickly got dressed and packed my bags with essentials, including some snacks and my diary to capture every memorable moment of our journey.

Chapter 2: Departure from Kathmandu
Shreya arrived at my doorstep, her eyes sparkling with excitement. We exchanged warm hugs, knowing that the next two days would be filled with adventures and cherished memories. We hailed a taxi and made our way to the Machhapokhari bus station, where we boarded a comfortable bus bound for Nuwakot.

Chapter 3: Scenic Bus Ride
As the bus left the chaotic streets of Kathmandu behind, we marveled at the breathtaking landscapes that unfolded before our eyes. The winding roads led us through lush green valleys, terraced fields, and quaint villages, all framed by towering Himalayan peaks in the distance. Shreya and I sat by the window, capturing the picturesque scenes on our cameras, and occasionally sharing stories and laughter. The wind tousled our hair as we sang along to our favorite tunes, the excitement building with every passing kilometer.

Chapter 4: Arrival at Nuwakot
After 3 and a half hours, the bus came to a halt, signaling our arrival at Nuwakot. We stepped out, feeling the crisp mountain air fill our lungs. The farmhouse was located a short distance away from the main town, nestled amidst rolling hills and sprawling farmlands. We hiked a little, winding our way up the scenic roads until we reached our destination.

Chapter 5: A Warm Welcome in Nuwakot
After a scenic drive through winding roads, we arrived at the Nuwakot farmhouse. The moment we stepped out of our vehicle, a sense of tranquility enveloped us. The warm and heartfelt welcome from the staff made us feel instantly at home.

Chapter 6: A Wholesome Farmhouse Lunch
The aroma of freshly prepared Pakauda, peanuts sadheko, and coca-cola wafted through the air as we settled down for a scrumptious lunch. The farm-to-table concept at the farmhouse ensured that every bite was bursting with flavors, made with organic ingredients grown on the premises. We relished each bite while soaking in the serene surroundings.

Chapter 7: Rooms and Surroundings Straight Out of a Bygone Era
As we entered our rooms, we were transported back in time. The rustic decor, antique furniture, and traditional architecture of the farmhouse reminded us of a bygone era. The room exuded a cozy ambiance, and from the balcony, we could catch glimpses of villages around Nuwakot in the distance from the balcony of the room.

Chapter 8: Mesmerizing Sunsets and Meaningful Conversations
As the evening approached, we made our way to the courtyard to witness the enchanting sunset. The sun painted the sky with hues of orange, pink, and gold, casting a spell over the surrounding landscape. In the company of the farmhouse decorated with flowers and lanterns, we engaged in heartfelt conversations about life, travel, and the beauty of Nuwakot.

Chapter 9: A Lantern Dinner in the Courtyard
As darkness fell, the farmhouse transformed into a magical realm. The courtyard was adorned with lanterns, casting a soft, flickering glow. We were treated to a delightful lantern-lit dinner under the open sky, indulging in delectable local delicacies while immersed in the charm of the farmhouse. The authentic Nepali Thakali Thali full was so delicious and we couldn't stop praising the head chef. As we finished our dinner we were severed with the most amazing Apple pie with caramel chocolates fillings. The dessert made our dinner more special.

Chapter 10: Unwinding with Tea and Night Views
After dinner, we retired to our rooms, craving a moment of solitude. With a warm cup of tea in hand, we settled onto the balcony, overlooking the serene surroundings of Nuwakot. The twinkling stars above and the peaceful night view below provided the perfect backdrop for heartfelt conversations, as we shared memories, dreams, and reflections on life.

Chapter 11: A Morning Stroll to Nuwakot Durbar
The following morning, we woke up early to experience the captivating beauty of Nuwakot in the golden hours. A refreshing morning walk led us to the Nuwakot Durbar, a historic palace that stood as a testament to the rich heritage of the region. The intricate architecture and panoramic views left us in awe. The Durbar stands proudly at an elevation of 900 meters in central Nepal which was built during the regime of
Prithivi Narayan Shah in the 18th century and is considered as an important landmark in the history of Nepal.
The Durbar is a seven-storey palace with historical and attractive architecture and can be reached after an hour uphill climb from Trisuli Bazaar. The recent earthquake-2015 has significantly damaged the interiors of the palace but still, there is a possibility for its visitors to roam around. The palace is currently under renovation.

Chapter 12: Breakfast and Farewell
Before bidding farewell to the farmhouse, we relished a delicious breakfast. The farm-fresh ingredients were transformed into a feast that delighted our taste buds. As we savored our last meal in this idyllic setting, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the unforgettable experience that Nuwakot had bestowed upon us.

As we reluctantly left the Nuwakot farmhouse, we carried with us cherished memories that would forever hold a special place in our hearts. The tranquil surroundings, the warm hospitality, and the echoes of a bygone era had left an indelible mark on our souls. This short but meaningful journey recharged our spirits, reminding us of the beauty that lies just beyond the familiar.
